Folks, visiting Round Sound/Jason Slota is a unique and magical experience. Imagine being able to explore many of the finest cymbals on the planet -- in private. It's like visiting the Porsche factory in Frankfurt Germany and being able to test drive a 911 on the track alone. Jason has a warm and mellow personality, perfect for the situation and his prices are very fair. Expect to be blown away by the choices available. It probably helps to have a good idea of what you are hoping to find in advance of your visit. Today, my choice was a Cymbal Craftsman, 20" EAK ride. I'll be back...

I had been trying to figure out how to navigate the endless types of cymbals for the specific sound that I was looking for and couldn't believe that a business like Round Sound existed. Not only can you try out a huge selection of cymbals but also get what I would consider professional advice. I purchased exactly what I was searching for at a very reasonable price. It's a business that would never be on Shark Tank but all percussionist need check this place out.

Wow. There are so few resources for drummers in the Bay Area that landing at Round Sound felt like being rescued from a raft lost at sea.
